Sad News
I know it has been awhile since posting a blog. I knew when I did come to post, it would be a bit painful! My dog Sidney went to doggie heaven at the end of June. My heart is still broken. I even find myself crying over silly little things still. Sidney was the best dog ever! He was very loyal and a great friend! We have his ashes with us for now. We had thought to spread them around his favorite tree in our backyard, but neither I nor my husband is ready for that and don't know if we ever will be. When I found out I couldn't have children, we poured all our love that we would have into a child in Sidney! We spoiled him rotten! Mishka is still waiting for him to come back, I think. When we take Mishka and Pumpkin out to potty. Mishka always looks back waiting for Sidney to come out with them. Through this tragedy, Mishka and Pumpkin now get along better. Anyway, Sidney will always and forever be in my heart and will be greatly missed! Rest in peace, my friend!

New Family Member!
Well, my sister Tena called and offered up a new dog last week. I didn't think we would take her because of what is going on with Sidney. However, Chris surprised me and said yes. He was worried about Mishka being alone. On Sunday, I went and picked her up! Her name is Pumpkin, she was born on Halloween and will be 2 this October. She is a full blooded Dachshund. Here she is:
Isn't she a beauty? It was really love at first sight for me! Totally different story with Mishka. Mishka doesn't like having a new dog in the house. So far they have had 2 Royal Rumbles and Mishka has countless growled and snarled at her. Sidney on the other hand is fine with her and we thought he wouldn't like her. We thought Mishka would love having her to play with. So far this is the closes I can get all 3 together.
I keep telling Miskha that Pumpkin is here to stay and she isn't going anywhere! Pumpkin is a great dog. Already housebroken and everything! So, keep your fingers crossed that all will work out in due time! We are so hoping that Mishka and Pumpkin becomes geat friends!

Sad News!
Earlier this week I took Sidney to the vet for all the peeing he has been doing (especially in the house). He lost another 7 lbs. He weighs just 38 lbs! When he should be around 60ish. You can see his ribs and his backbone. The vet looked him over and is pretty sure he has cancer! He is a lot more lumps and bumps then he did when he was checked in February! She could take a sample from a lump but it could be hit and miss with so many different ones. Basically, it is just keeping him comfortable. The vet did not tell my how long, I did not, could not ask her! I don't want to know! This is killing me! Every time I look at him my heart breaks a bit more each time. I give him lots and lots of treats and loving, no matter if he pees on the floor or not. He is like my baby, I got him the year after I had my ectopic pregnancy. He is such a joy to have around, such a good boy. I'm trying to be very, very strong and not cry every time I look at him. Until the time comes, I will continue to enjoy, love and spoil him!!

Memorial Day
Here is a pic of the SGM congratulating them on a job well done!
Here is a video of the cannons going off and a bit of Taps being played. My camera batteries were dying so it got cut off at the end!
I only jumped the first 2 times the cannon went off. LOL
Here is the last picture of him. I love when he is in his Dress Greens! Once again, I am so very proud of him!

Wii Fit
Well, my friend, G, texted me from Target to let me know that they had 2 Wii Fits! Woooohooo! I've been trying to find one without ordering it online and paying the shipping charges. So, I jumped in the shower, ran out the door and bought one of them! Of course as soon as I got home I had to set it up and try it. Holy cow, it kicked my butt!! I sweated my butt off! I do love it though! It is great! I am going to try and do it everyday, so this will be a step in the right direction in trying to lose weight. Wish me luck! I highly recommend it to anyone just after one try! Now I just need to talk my friend G into maybe going to the park 1-2 times a week and take a walk! (Hint, hint LOL) I know she will read this, so i was going to getting around to asking you! LOL That is about it, nothing new to update on! I lead a very boring life as you all can tell!

Funny!
Okay so it has been awhile since I posted anything, haven't really had anything to post! I have a kind of funny story to tell that happened to me last night! My friend and her family had to go out of town for a family emergency. (not funny, keeping them in my prayers) Me being me, offered to watch her house and get her mail. I'm handy to have around in a emergency! :) So, last night I went to her house to check her mail. I got the mail, unlocked her door and as I stepped into her house I heard voices! I think to myself, "Just freaking fracking great they are getting robbed on my first night of this!" (the night they left I had jokily said, "I promise not to rob ya while your gone," talk about karma coming back to bite ya in the butt) I got my cell phone ready to call 911, but then I listened and realized it was a TV or radio on. Then I think to myself, "Who is here?" Nobody should have been in that house! So, I put the mail down, but still keep my cell phone ready. I walk down the hall and realize they had left their son's radio on! Whew! What a relief! Of course all the while feeling like an idiot! Then it took me several minutes to figure out how to turn the radio off!
Moral of the story: If you need to go out of town and have someone watch your house, try to turn off everything so that the person who is watching doesn't get freaked out! LOL
2nd Moral of the story: Watch what you joke about because it can come back to bite ya in the butt!! It's called karma! LOL

Family Week
Well I survived last week with all my family that came to visit! I really enjoyed having them here more than I thought I would for a whole week. We went out and about to explore a bit! My mother, with her magic hands, made me 2 sets of curtains, redid the hem on 1 set, and made me her great food! My dear hubby, is a trooper and handled it all so well! Although, I must confess I did get snippy a few times! People have to realize that I am so use to being on my own with hubby that when I have family especially 8 at one time, it can get a bit overwhelming for me. So I snipped and went for some me time for a minute or two. I never really had to use my get away in my bedroom. All in all it went pretty well.
On another note, yesterday was Chris's and mine 20th anniversary!! The past 20 years have been wonderful, of course like all marriages, we had our hairy moments. However, the good memories so outweigh the not so good memories. I got him a bunch of Dallas Cowboys stuff for his game room, so he finally has his Dallas room! He loved it! He got me flowers, candy, and gift certificate to have a manicure. We then went out to Momma Rose's Italian Restaurant. Chris had it prearranged for them to make the table so romantic! Who knew my hubby could be like that?? The food was awesome! I had very good day yesterday!

Friends and Movies
Today started with me cleaning and cleaning some more. My mother is coming for a visit the day after Easter, so of course, I had to clean, clean! However, my mother will find something to clean while she is here! I say "Have at it, Mom!" LOL (Don't worry I have my safe place all planned for when she is driving me crazy!)
After cleaning, I went to Starbucks to meet a friend I met online! It was nice to actually sit down and have a conversation with her face to face and not just on Twitter! (love our conversations on twitter) Her son, I'll stick with what she calls him P, is such a little cutie! She has been awesome with telling me where things are here in Hampton and the surrounding area. I still need to go to Newport News to explore. Also, I still need to get over my fear of the tunnels! She has informed there is so much to do across the tunnels! I think someone needs to drug me or blindfold me and just take me! LOL Thanks for meeting me today G!!
Then, after a nap and dinner, I finally settled down to watch Marley & Me! That is such an awesome movie! I cried and cried through it! At the end, all I could think about was Sidney (he will be 14 in August) He has been a part of our family for almost 13 years! It will break my heart! I don't have to worry so much yet about Mishka he will be 3 in May so (he's been in the family since he was 4 months old), he has awhile! Anyway, if you haven't seen this movie, I highly recommend it!
Hope this didn't bore you to death! LOL Of course, I will blog more later!

This is both urns with flowers! I also got a few close up pictures!
To my oldest sister, (I know you will read this) yes I do need to get a life, but this makes me happy until I go back to school. It keeps me busy! So, until then, this is what you get to read about! LOL
Chris and I are so happy that Sidney didn't pee in the house last nite! Woot Woot!! Keep your fingers crossed that he keeps it up!
Well this is it for now! Post later!

Yard 1st Step
Finally got a couple good pictures of my front yard with the 1st baby steps. Not much done but you can see a difference from the before and this one! We have put wood around the tree and in front of the flowerbeds at the porch. Also, we've added the black urns with flowers! I should have gotten a close up picture of the flowers they are pretty. Red on the outsideside and yellow on the inside. The big patch of dirt, is where Chris put down top soil and grass seed so we are hoping that it will fill in with grass soon! We want to put more flowers in the flowerbeds, but I'm so picky, not sure what I want. Baby steps, but it is getting there! I can't wait for the tree to bloom, to see what it looks like! Well post more pictures as we get it done!
On another note, Sidney is still peeing in the house and we don't know why! This is supper frustrating after paying the vet to have him checked out. Everyone tells me it's because he is getting older, but who knows! We deal with it!

Nasty Weather
Well, today we had some nasty weather. We were under a tornado watch until 3 p.m. Scared Sidney (oldest dog) silly! He kept trying to jump in my lap! Ha Ha Mishka (youngest dog) slept through it! I have to admit I jumped a few times with the thunder! LOL Anyways, with the nasty weather I didn't get to take a picture of my front yard; so, I'm hoping tomorrow I will and can download it to show what we've done so far. Baby steps with the yard but it will get to where we want it. In the backyard, we have a small lake from all the rain we got today. It had just dried up from the last time! Jet ski, anyone? Ha Ha I can sit on at my backdoor and put my feet in it! LOL Well that's about it for today. Hopefully I will have the pictures tomorrow!

Good Day
Well, it was a beautiful day today! Hubby and I went to Lowes to get things for our yard! I planted my 1st flowers in my 1st yard that it mine! LOL got some sun and just loved being outdoors! This is the before pic and once my camera charges I will put in an after pic! We are trying to make the yard look as good as the inside of the house! It's slowly coming along!
